Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexis Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Sobczak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexis Vaughn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hunter Sobczak! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sobczak slips a jab and a cross from Vaughn.
Vaughn slips a jab and a cross from Sobczak.
Vaughn appears to be looking for a big counter. Sobczak misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sobczak cracks a nice hook into Vaughn's ribs. Vaughn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hunter Sobczak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sobczak lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vaughn circles away quickly and effectively. Vaughn looks to score with a jab to the body but Sobczak is just out of range. Vaughn clinches up against the cage. Vaughn fails to pull guard.
Sobczak is defending well against a takedown attempt. Sobczak gets a trip takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sobczak stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Sobczak shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sobczak was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughn wants to get back to his feet but Sobczak drags him back down. Sobczak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Sobczak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Vaughn is breathing heavily. Vaughn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sobczak prevents Vaughn from standing back up.
Sobczak thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vaughn's head. Sobczak perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Sobczak decides to stand and escape the position. Vaughn tries to keep at a distance but Sobczak has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sobczak letting Vaughn take a breather here. Sobczak scores with a hook to the body. Sobczak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sobczak throws a leg kick which misses Vaughn's front leg but catches the back leg as Vaughn tries to avoid it. Vaughn tries to clinch there but Sobczak circles away.
Sobczak leaves Vaughn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexis Vaughn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Sobczak moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Vaughn! Sobczak continues to tee off on Vaughn, landing with a left and a right! Sobczak connects with a right hand that leaves Vaughn sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Sobczak!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hunter Sobczak!
