Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnathan Conway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinn Bishop! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Johnathan Conway has been cut. Bishop throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Bishop tries to get set, Conway tries to push him back and clinch up but Bishop manages to avoid the attempt. Conway pushes Bishop up against the cage in a clinch. Bishop lands a hook that snaps the head of Conway backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Bishop. Conway takes a shot to the head. Conway tries to work over Bishop's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Conway jumps guard but Bishop turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Bishop is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Conway is defending well for now. Conway trying to stall but Bishop improves his position.
Bishop lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Conway. Conway on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Conway blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Conway is trying to maintain a safe position but Bishop gets an underhook and turns Conway into the cage. Conway trying to land knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conway is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Bishop blocks the elbow strike.
Bishop lands a left hand that snaps the head of Conway backwards. Conway looking to slow down the pace here. Conway wants to stall.
Bishop unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Conway! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Bishop is unloading with more strikes now! Conway drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quinn Bishop! Quinn Bishop decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
