Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Yaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Logic feat. Castro - Ballin. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leo Yaj!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller lands a head shot.
Miller works Yaj's body with a nice hook.
Miller just misses with a punch to the body.
Yaj with the counter takedown but Miller avoids it easily.

Yaj shoots in and gets a takedown into Miller's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Yaj with a flurry of punches that miss.
Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Yaj is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miller is just riding it out for now. Yaj eventually gives up the hold.
Miller wants to improve his position but Yaj is controlling well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yaj winds up and cracks Miller with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Miller manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Yaj throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Miller keeping moving, preventing Yaj from controlling successfully.

Yaj seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Miller is looking for a sweep. Yaj is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Miller sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yaj connects with a nice short shot to Miller's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Yaj dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Miller uses his free foot to push down on Yaj's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yaj.

Yaj lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Yaj has the hooks in. Miller is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Even with his hooks in, Yaj manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Miller tries to escape but Yaj has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Yaj lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Yaj is not going to allow Miller to sit and survive in this position.
Miller is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Well, with Yaj on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Miller is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Miller is having to fend off submission attempts from Yaj, who is looking to sink in the choke. Yaj doesn't have the hooks in though and Miller manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Leo Yaj.
I think Yaj has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
