Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Macadam Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnar Lodbrok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lodbrok has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Macadam Baird has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Lodbrok is predictable there
so Baird counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lodbrok looks winded!
Baird advances to half guard.
Baird trying to pass the guard but Lodbrok defending well.
Baird controlling the pace.
Lodbrok is refusing to be controlled, as Baird sits in half guard.
Baird working Lodbrok over with strikes.
Lodbrok is in trouble now - Baird has advanced to mount!
Baird takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baird is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lodbrok has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Baird has hold of Lodbrok's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lodbrok manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Baird is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Baird!
