0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Crock Bresnar ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marv Ellis! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Bresnar . Bresnar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ellis. Bresnar appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Ellis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ellis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ellis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bresnar connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ellis. Ellis circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ellis misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bresnar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ellis connects with a right hand. Bresnar shakes it off.
It looks like Crock Bresnar has been cut. Bresnar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bresnar there as he acknowledges the shot. Ellis misses with a hook
and Bresnar counters with a nice uppercut. Ellis misses with an uppercut
and Bresnar counters with a right hand to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Bresnar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ellis. Bresnar tries to move into range but Ellis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Ellis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bresnar slips a jab and a cross from Ellis.
Ellis looks to land a combination but Bresnar avoids it well. Ellis pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bresnar back to the cage. Ellis follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis avoids the body shot from Bresnar .
Bresnar lands a nice shot to the body.
Ellis throws a sloppy body shot
and Bresnar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bresnar on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ellis is looking to break free of the clinch but Bresnar has double underhooks. Ellis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ellis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Sloppy strikes from Ellis. Those never looked like landing. Bresnar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Ellis misses with a body punch
and Bresnar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ellis swings for the body but Bresnar moves out of range.
Bresnar tests Ellis's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ellis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bresnar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Ellis throws out a loose jab but Bresnar uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis misses with a body shot.
Bresnar throws a shot from downtown. Ellis moves away and avoids it. Bresnar slips a jab and a cross from Ellis.
This has been an exciting period of action! Bresnar 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ellis under the eye. Bresnar walks into a straight right hand from Ellis.
Crock Bresnar 's cut is getting worse. Ellis throws a hook but Bresnar blocks it. Bresnar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ellis momentarily.
Ellis misses with a jab to the body
enabling Bresnar to counter with a crisp jab. Ellis takes one on the button. Ellis misses with a right hand and Bresnar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ellis digs a good hook to Bresnar 's body.
Ellis lands with a right hand. Ellis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bresnar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Ellis throws an off balance right hand
and Bresnar counters with a nice uppercut. Ellis with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bresnar to score with a decent uppercut. Bresnar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ellis moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ellis misses with a jab to the body
and Bresnar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ellis misses with a body shot
letting Bresnar counter with a right hand.
Ellis is rocked! Ellis moves out of range as Bresnar throws a body kick.
A countering left hand to the body from Ellis misses. Ellis scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bresnar in his tracks. Ellis just misses with a punch to the body.
Ellis cracks a nice hook into Bresnar 's ribs. Nice shot by Ellis. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ellis slips a jab from Bresnar . Ellis throws a counter combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bresnar .
Ellis misses with a wild body shot. Bresnar blocks a jab. Bresnar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nice uppercut there from Ellis.
Crock Bresnar 's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. A jab from Bresnar finds it's way through Ellis's defenses. Ellis misses the shot to the body. Ellis throws a good cross that connects.
Bresnar moves out of range as Ellis strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ellis cracks Bresnar with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jeez, Crock Bresnar 's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Ellis throws a poor cross that misses
and Bresnar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ellis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marv Ellis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Crock Bresnar 's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A big right from Ellis misses. Nice straight punches there by Ellis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ellis. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bresnar darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ellis throws a sloppy body shot
and Bresnar counters with a lovely shot to the body. Ellis moves out of range of the body kick from Bresnar .
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis cracks Bresnar with an open hand slap. Ellis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ellis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bresnar on the side of the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Crock Bresnar 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
