Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez has chosen Kryptonite as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez throws a big shot that misses. Velasquez misses with a series of wild punches.

Lesnar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Velasquez's head. Lesnar postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Lesnar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Velasquez's head. Velasquez wants to sweep here but Lesnar controlling him for the moment. Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Velasquez is keeping the position. Velasquez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lesnar gets full guard. Lesnar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Velasquez defends well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Velasquez shoots for a takedown but Lesnar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lesnar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
