Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Graeme Symons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Mosby! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Symons tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mosby was well out of range. Poor timing from Symons. Symons throws a hook but Mosby avoids it easily. An inside leg kick from Mosby misses. Mosby shoots in and bounces Symons off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mosby looking to sit in guard and control but Symons gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Symons sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mosby's guard. Symons missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Symons winds up and cracks Mosby with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Symons moves nicely into side control. Symons in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mosby sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mosby tries to get to full guard but Symons has control of the leg. Symons working Mosby over with strikes. Symons working the head and body with strikes. Mosby wants to get back to full guard. Symons looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Symons prevents Mosby from improving his position. Mosby trying to control but Symons postures up.
Mosby moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mosby controls Symons momentarily but Symons frees himself. Symons is in close to Mosby's body, working some short punches and elbows. Mosby wants to hit a switch here but Symons passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mosby there! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Symons looking to control but Mosby is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Symons connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Symons raining down shots from the mount! Symons is landing with some decent strikes but Mosby is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mosby is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Symons lands a big elbow. Mosby is still in real trouble! Can Symons finish him? Symons with the ground and pound from mount. Symons drops a big elbow. That's hurt Mosby! More shots from Symons and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
