The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi avoids the body shot from Norton.
Takahashi works Norton's body with a nice hook.
Takahashi lands with an overhand left.
Norton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Takahashi lands a nice looking body shot.
Norton throws a lazy right hand but Takahashi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Takahashi lands with a cross.

Norton lands with an uppercut that bounces Takahashi off the cage and back into range.
Ethelbart Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Takahashi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Norton.
Norton takes one to the side of the head.

Norton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takahashi's coach down at LOD London Top Tier was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Takahashi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Takahashi scores with a nice right hand.
Takahashi lands with a straight right. Norton didn't see that one coming.
Norton misses with an uppercut. Takahashi saw that one coming.
Takahashi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Norton.

Takahashi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Takahashi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Norton had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Norton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Norton gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Takahashi.

Takahashi misses with an uppercut. Norton saw that one coming.

and Takahashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Norton throws an off balance right hand
and Takahashi counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Norton misses with a looping left.
Norton lands a jab.
Norton darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Takahashi. Takahashi circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Norton takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A shot to the liver by Norton. Beautiful body shot.
Norton takes a swing at Takahashi's ribcage but misses.
Takahashi tries to move into range but Norton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Takahashi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Norton swings widly with a right hand
and Takahashi counters with a nice right hand that sends Norton toppling to the canvas! Norton scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Takahashi finish him?!
Norton is rocked!

Norton throws a body shot but no joy.
Oh Norton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takahashi closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Norton out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
