The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sis misses with a low kick as Alvarez jumps back.
An inside leg kick from Sis misses.
Sis throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sis scores with a leg kick.
Alvarez digs a good hook to Sis's body.
Alvarez avoids the head kick by Sis.
Sis checks a low kick from Alvarez.
Sis throws a right and a left that Alvarez avoids nicely.
Alvarez throws the left hand but Sis avoids the punch easily.
And Sis tries to counter it with a takedown but Alvarez pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Sis throws a hook to the side of Alvarez's head but Alvarez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Nem Sis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sis throws a head kick but Alvarez moves out of range.
Alvarez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Alvarez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sis's sensitive parts.

Alvarez appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Alvarez throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
And Sis tries to counter it with a takedown but Alvarez pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Some bone on bone action there as Sis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Sis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sis throws a leg kick but Alvarez moved away.
Sis connects with a right hand. Alvarez shakes it off.
Nice straight punches there by Alvarez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Alvarez.

Alvarez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sis.
Alvarez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Sis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Alvarez counters with a nice kick to the body.

Sis cracks a nice hook into Alvarez's ribs.
Alvarez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alvarez scores with a nice body kick.
Alvarez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Sis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sis is looking to land body kicks.
Sis blocks the body kick.
Alvarez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Sis lets loose with a powerful body kick. Alvarez will feel that in the morning.

Sis throws a good cross that connects.
Sis misses with a hook
and Alvarez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Alvarez stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sis tries a low kick but Alvarez avoids it.
Alvarez looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Sis misses the body punch
and Alvarez counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Sis is rocked!
Alvarez misses with a few strikes there.
Sis is still on wobbly legs! Can Alvarez finish him?
Alvarez is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Sis gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Sis tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Alvarez is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Sis buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Sis!! Sis is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Alvarez throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Carlo Alvarez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
