Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Butch Carson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace loads up on a big right hand but Carson slips the punch. Carson slips under a jab from Wallace. Wallace lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Wallace scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Carson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Wallace fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Wallace cracks Carson with an open hand slap. Carson misses with a lunging right hand
and Wallace counters with a lovely straight right hand! Carson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Wallace throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carson counters with a series of strikes. Wallace will be more careful next time no doubt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed right hand from Wallace misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Wallace counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Carson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wallace counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carson lands with a right hand. Carson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. An attempted straight right counter from Carson misses the target. Carson throws a wild hook but Wallace just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Carson gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Wallace raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Wallace! William Wallace is the new middleweight champion! An out of breath William Wallace thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
