Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Grice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruiz comes to the cage accompanied by ZARILA KANDZE. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Kruiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Gary Grice! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruiz lands with a cross. Kruiz throws a sloppy body shot
and Grice counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kruiz shoots in but no luck this time. Grice fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kruiz checks a leg kick. Kruiz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grice moves away. Grice moves forwards but Kruiz connects with a nice, crisp jab. Grice misses with a left hand and Kruiz counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kruiz is trying to get an arm triangle but Grice is defending well. Kruiz misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Grice sneaks back into half guard. Kruiz throwing shots but Grice is blocking nicely. Grice wants to control but Kruiz is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kruiz thows a huge punch but Grice dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruiz is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Grice throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Kruiz throwing strikes but missing. Kruiz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kruiz throwing strikes but missing. Grice thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Grice looking for a sweep. Not yet Grice, not yet. Grice has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at LOD: Lightning Kicks (MaxID280K). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Grice controlling the position. Kruiz with a flurry of punches that miss. Kruiz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kruiz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kruiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kruiz trying to control the position from guard on top but Grice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kruiz throws a hook but Grice avoids it easily. Grice doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Kruiz throws out a leg kick but Grice moves out of range and Kruiz only half commits. Kruiz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grice. Kruiz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Grice counters with an inside leg kick. Grice is looking to clinch. Kruiz takes a shot right to the bread basket. Gary Grice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grice blocks a jab. Grice keeps the fight on the outside. Kruiz backing away here, and Grice unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Grice with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruiz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Grice wants to get back to full guard but Kruiz has passed into side control. Kruiz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kruiz trying to control the action but Grice is working from the bottom. Kruiz prevents Grice from escaping the position. Kruiz throwing shots but missing, from side control. Grice stops Kruiz from passing to mount. Kruiz cracks Grice with a big elbow. Kruiz misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kruiz throwing strikes but Grice manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grice trying to control the position but Kruiz is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grice tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Grice just content to control the position. Kruiz struggling a bit here. Kruiz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Grice connects with a decent elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kruiz sneaks back into half guard. Kruiz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Grice wants to control but Kruiz is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gary Grice will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Grice looks to land a right hand but Kruiz moved out of range. Grice blocks a head kick by Kruiz.
Grice defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kruiz. Grice is looking to slow Kruiz down with leg kicks. Kruiz jabbing away but nothing is landing. Grice staying out of range there. Tom Kruiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruiz avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Grice connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kruiz does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Grice stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Grice wants it to stay on the feet. Grice chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kruiz loads up on a big right hand but Grice slips the punch. Grice misses with a straight left. Kruiz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grice bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Grice throws a body kick that misses. Grice waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kruiz. Grice cracks Kruiz with a good jab. Kruiz needs to keep his hands up - Grice had a free shot at his head there. Grice throws a big shot that misses. Kruiz misses with a hook
and Grice counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kruiz thinking. Grice throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kruiz gets the takedown into side control. Grice is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kruiz wants to work for an arm triangle but Grice is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Grice has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kruiz not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kruiz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grice does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kruiz stalling away here and it's allowed Grice to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Kruiz pushing down on Grice's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kruiz trying to control the action but Grice is working from the bottom. Grice tries to get to full guard but Kruiz has control of the leg. Grice avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kruiz. Grice is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Grice is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kruiz passes to side control. Kruiz throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Grice works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Kruiz is looking for a kimura but Grice is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kruiz to get the leverage. Grice is trying to stand back up but Kruiz is controlling him
Kruiz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Grice doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kruiz. Grice moves into full guard.

Grice slaps away a takedown attempt from Kruiz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kruiz chopping away at his opponent's legs.

and Grice connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kruiz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kruiz backing away here, and Grice unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Kruiz fails with the takedown and Grice counters with a body kick that stops Kruiz in his tracks momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grice fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kruiz manages to avoid it. Kruiz throws an overhand right that lands on Grice's shoulder, as Grice tries to avoid the shot. Grice connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kruiz ducks under a wild hook from Grice. Kruiz closes the distance but Grice moves to the side and Grice counters with a left to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kruiz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Grice is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A clash of legs there as Kruiz blocks the low kick. Kruiz tests Grice's chin there with a solid looking shot. Grice forces Kruiz back against the cage and clinches. Grice gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kruiz.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Kruiz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grice lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kruiz backwards.

Kruiz is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Grice misses with the head strike.

Grice connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A left lands for Grice. Kruiz misses with a takedown attempt and Grice moves into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kruiz swings wildly with an uppercut but Grice uses good head movement to avoid it. Grice blocks a punch to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Grice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Grice winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
