Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dany Wag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Sandusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dany Wag has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dany Wag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Sandusky!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandusky tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wag swivels and escapes.
Sandusky looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wag scores with a jab to the body.

Wag bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wag slows the pace down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wag's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sandusky is working to avoid the ground and pound but Wag connects with a decent elbow.
The referee asks Wag politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wag prefers to stall for the moment though.

Wag working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Wag is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wag working the body and head with strikes.
Sandusky is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wag has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Sandusky prevents Wag from improving position.
The referee asks Wag politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wag prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Wag dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wag lands with an uppercut that bounces Sandusky off the cage and back into range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sandusky takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Wag closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sandusky's guard.
Sandusky wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Wag manages to pass to side control.

Wag stops Sandusky from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wag lands with a punch from half guard.
Sandusky has hold of Wag's hands but Wag slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wag with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Wag lands strikes from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dany Wag dominated that round.
That's time! Wag's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wag getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Wag shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sandusky pinned against the cage. Sandusky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dany Wag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sandusky walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Wag scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wag controls the position.
Wag is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sandusky can do to turn this around?

Sandusky is trying to get back to half guard.
Wag controls the position from side control.
Sandusky is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Wag closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Wag is working for a submission of some sort.
Well, if Wag is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Further stalling from Wag.
Sandusky is trying to control but Wag passes into side control!
Wag works to advance to full mount. Sandusky defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Wag tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wag has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dany Wag dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Wag tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sandusky was well out of range. Poor timing from Wag.
Sandusky looks for a takedown but Wag sprawls well.
Sandusky takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Wag closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wag lands in his opponent's guard.
Wag's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wag passes Sandusky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sandusky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wag seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Wag trying to mount his opponent but Sandusky defends it.
Wag controlling the action here.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Wag.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sandusky misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sandusky throws a nice looking combination but Wag bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Wag closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wag not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wag connects with a nice short shot to Sandusky's temple.
Wag passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sandusky!
We've been informed that Sandusky has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Wag has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sandusky's face.
Wag controlling from mount.
Wag continues to hold on tight.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gary Sandusky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dany Wag is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Wag has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
