PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nichi Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong has chosen Hong Entrance Song as his entrance music. Nichi Hong told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Queen misses its intended target.
Queen throws a head kick but Hong moves out of range.
Queen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Queen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hong is trying to defend but Queen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Queen is nestled in close to Hong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Queen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hong with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
