Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Herb Hurley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Onyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herb Hurley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Onyama! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Onyama misses and Hurley counters with a nice double leg into guard. Onyama is pulling down on Hurley's head. It's preventing any offense from Hurley, at least for the moment. Onyama avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hurley avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hurley stops Onyama from standing up. Hurley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hurley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onyama working for a triangle but Hurley defends it easily.
Onyama has his hands on Hurley's head, controlling the position. Onyama wants to stand up but Hurley is controlling him. Onyama is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hurley throwing strikes but missing. Onyama controls Hurley momentarily but Hurley frees himself. Onyama pulls Hurley in close to his closed guard and prevents Hurley from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hurley moves in looking to clinch but Onyama pushes him off. Onyama clinches up with Hurley and pushes him back against the cage. Onyama has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hurley is trying to keep an underhook but Onyama manages to get the takedown into half guard. Onyama drops an elbow to the side of Hurley's head. Onyama seems to be looking for submissions.
Onyama is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Hurley as he works his way to full guard.
Onyama tries to stand but Hurley is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onyama passes into half guard. Onyama controlling the action here. Hurley is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Onyama not doing much here.
Onyama tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Onyama is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Onyama will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Onyama feints and as Hurley raises his hands in defense, Onyama changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Onyama showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Onyama trying to move into half guard but instead Hurley has managed to sweep! Onyama manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hurley manages to get himself to full guard.
Onyama stands and throws Hurley's legs to the side, diving into side control. Onyama working the ground and pound but Hurley is defending the strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A lull in the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Onyama are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hurley being controlled for a moment. Onyama wants to stand but Hurley is controlling his arm. Onyama wants to take a breather but Hurley manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Onyama.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onyama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hurley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Onyama controlling from the top position. Onyama tries to free his leg and advance position but Hurley is retaining full guard. Hurley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Onyama controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Onyama trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Onyama wants to stand but Hurley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hurley shoots in but Onyama avoids the takedown attempt easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Onyama looking for a takedown here - he's got it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Onyama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hurley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A little jabbing left from Onyama on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Onyama gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Onyama manages to break the clinch.
Onyama closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hurley quickly recovers to half guard. Hurley kicks Onyama off and gets back to his feet. Onyama closes the distance and clinches. Onyama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Herb Hurley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Onyama uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hurley has time to react. Onyama gets the takedown into side control. Onyama is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hurley's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurley is looking to regain half guard here but Onyama keeps moving and retains side control. Hurley struggling a bit here. Onyama has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hurley is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Onyama yanks on the arm and Hurley is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Onyama.
