Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Schmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Schmo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Schmo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Daniels with that takedown attempt.
Schmo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daniels moves away.
Schmo sets himself, and Daniels steps forward looking for the clinch! Schmo avoids it this time.
Schmo leaves Daniels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schmo swivels and escapes.
Joe Schmo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Daniels.
Schmo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Daniels manages to avoid it.
Schmo scores with a jab.
Daniels shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schmo sprawls well. Schmo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daniels gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schmo throws a body shot but no joy.
Daniels dives in and grabs Schmo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Schmo pushes down on Daniels's head and hops out.
Daniels fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Daniels avoids the body shot from Schmo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Schmo just misses with a punch to the body.
Schmo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Daniels's head.
Daniels fails with a takedown attempt.
As Daniels tries to get set, Schmo tries to push him back and clinch up but Daniels manages to avoid the attempt.
Daniels has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Schmo dips to his left and cracks Daniels with an uppercut!
A jab from Schmo misses.
Schmo cracks a nice hook into Daniels's ribs.
Daniels slips under a jab.
Daniels wants to counter the offense by Schmo and move into the clinch position.
Schmo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schmo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Daniels under the eye.
Daniels shoots in looking for a takedown but Schmo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Daniels's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Schmo throws a jab but it's blocked by Daniels.
Decent striking displayed by Schmo there.
Schmo throws a series of punches but Daniels moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Daniels fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schmo sprawls well initially but Daniels persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Daniels seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Schmo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Daniels's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Daniels's back!
Schmo scores with punches from the back.
Daniels is rocked!
Daniels looks winded!
Schmo lands a big shot to the side of the head and Daniels goes limp! He's out cold - the ref jumps in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joe Schmo!
A very excited looking Joe Schmo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
