The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Catchmaer. Gabryel Catchmaer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Catchmaer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dollar, pushing him back against the cage. Dollar blocks an elbow strike from Catchmaer.
Dollar tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Catchmaer just stands there and leans against the cage. Our sources have told us that Dollar has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Dollar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Catchmaer smiles and moves away.
Dollar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dollar trying to mount his opponent but Catchmaer defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Catchmaer trying to control here.
Catchmaer is concentrating on defense, preventing Dollar from advancing position. Dollar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Catchmaer's head.

Catchmaer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dollar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Catchmaer. That's one minute gone in the round. Catchmaer connects with a single shot there. Catchmaer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Catchmaer pushes Dollar back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Dollar blocks an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Catchmaer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Catchmaer lands a shoulder strike. Dollar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Dollar pulls guard successfully.
Dollar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dollar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Catchmaer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Catchmaer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Catchmaer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dollar working a defensive guard but Catchmaer manages to pass into side control anyway.
Catchmaer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Catchmaer trying to control the action but Dollar is working from the bottom. Dollar is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Dollar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Catchmaer scores with a couple of nice shots. Dollar tries to get to full guard but Catchmaer has control of the leg. Dollar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Catchmaer walks away with a smile on his face. Dollar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Catchmaer swings for the body but Dollar moves out of range.

Catchmaer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dollar doesn't seem bothered though. Dollar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Catchmaer. Dollar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Catchmaer. Dollar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diamond Dollar. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Catchmaer lands with an overhand left. Catchmaer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dollar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Catchmaer swivels and escapes. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Catchmaer! But no joy. Catchmaer throws a jab but it's blocked by Dollar. Good standup being displayed there by Catchmaer as he connects with a hook. Catchmaer punishes Dollar's body with a nice straight punch. Dollar takes one on the button. Catchmaer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. It looked like Dollar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Catchmaer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Catchmaer. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Dollar shoots for a double leg takedown but Catchmaer sprawls well. He's pushed Dollar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dollar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dollar clinches up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. With the fighters up against the cage, Catchmaer throws an elbow but misses. Dollar tries to pull guard but Catchmaer forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Catchmaer throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Catchmaer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Catchmaer fails to land with a series of punches.
Catchmaer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. It looked like Dollar was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Dollar slips a jab and a cross from Catchmaer.
Dollar moves away from the strike by Catchmaer. Catchmaer moves into range and clinches up with Dollar. Dollar blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Catchmaer lands with a cross. Catchmaer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Catchmaer throws a shot from downtown. Dollar moves away and avoids it. A lazy left from Catchmaer finds it's target. Catchmaer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Dollar pulls guard successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Catchmaer wants to control from the top but Dollar keeps moving. Gabryel Catchmaer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Catchmaer pushes down on Dollar's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Catchmaer performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Catchmaer is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

And that's the end of the fight! Gabryel Catchmaer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Catchmaer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The crowd seemed to love his humility. The defeated Diamond Dollar had this to say: 'I have nothing to say. Sh*t just didn't work tonight, but im a champion inside and I will bounce back stronger. Mouse, where ever your hiding. Your my comeback fight. Get me the papers, and i'll sign for the fight right this second!'.
