Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyndon Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Javi Javier!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Javier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Perez tries to roll over but Javier keeps him under control.

Javier decides to stand and escape the position.

Perez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Javier to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Perez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Javier dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez is looking for a sweep.

Perez is looking to reverse the position.

Perez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Javier asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Javier decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Perez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Perez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Perez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Perez chips away with some ground and pound.
Perez wants to stand but Javier is controlling his posture from full guard.
Javier is looking to stand up but Perez isn't so interested in that idea.
Our spies down at at Iron Fist Gym inform us that Javier has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Perez wanted to stand there but Javier had control of the position.

Javier is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Perez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Perez has hold of one of Javier's legs. Javier is fighting the takedown attempt but Perez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Perez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Perez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Perez is trying to stand up here but Javier is controlling him well.

You get the feeling that Perez really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Javier is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Perez gets caught napping as Javier dives in and scores a takedown. Perez manages to retain guard.

Perez gets caught flat footed, as Javier shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Javier wanted to stand there but Perez had control of the position.

Perez uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Javier feints and as Perez raises his hands in defense, Javier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Javier gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Javier shoots in and gets a takedown into Perez's guard.
Javier is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Javier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Perez is proving hard to escape from.
Javier prevents Perez from getting back to his feet.

Perez throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Javier gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Perez has closed the distance and engaged Javier in a clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Perez drags the fight down to the ground.
Perez wants to stand and escape but Javier is having none of it.

Javier gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Perez works over Javier's head and body with a nice combination.
Javier swats away the attempt to clinch by Perez.
Javier lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Javier drives through with a takedown into guard.
Javier won't allow Perez to get back to his feet.
Javier has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Perez working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Javier has passed into half guard!

Javier stands up out of the half guard.
Lyndon Perez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Perez gets caught napping as Javier dives in and scores a takedown. Perez manages to retain guard.

Perez pushes Javier off and gets back to his feet.
Javier takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Perez tries to clinch but Javier moves out of range.

Javier throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Perez was covering up waiting for the punch and Javier finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Perez wants to stand and escape but Javier is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lyndon Perez will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


A combination from Perez does no damage.
Perez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Perez tries to clinch but Javier moves out of range.

Javier manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Perez on his heels. He'll look to pass Perez's guard now, I'm sure.

Javier decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Perez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Javier shapes to counter with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perez tries to clinch up but Javier circles away and keeps his distance.

Perez trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Perez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Javier off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Javier gets tackled into the cage by Perez. Perez maintains the clinch.

Perez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Javier can't fight it off and eventually Perez manages to take the fight to the floor. Javier looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Javier wriggles free and stands up.

Perez is trying to keep Javier in close.
Perez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Javier is controlling him.

Javier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Javier prevents Perez from getting back to his feet.

Javier decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Perez, up you get!

Javier shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Javier gets to his feet - Perez follows without any prompting.
Javier avoids a punch combination nicely.
Javier swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Perez tries to clinch up but Javier circles away and keeps his distance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Javi Javier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Javier has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
