Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lao Shin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Genia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shaolin Chamber of Death. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Lao Shin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Genia!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Genia slips under a jab.
Genia thuds a left hand into Shin's body.
Nice uppercut lands for Genia. That snapped Shin's head back.
Shin throws a body punch but Genia moves out of range.
Genia throws a leg kick that misses.
Shin throws a low kick, looking for Genia's leg but Genia calmly moves out of range.
Will Genia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Genia lands with a cross.

Shin lands a big head kick that sends Genia tumbling to the mat! Shin takes a step backwards and waves Genia back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Genia is rocked!


It looks like Will Genia has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Genia throws a leg kick which misses Shin's front leg but catches the back leg as Shin tries to avoid it.
Genia is still on wobbly legs! Can Shin finish him?

Shin cracks Genia with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Genia looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shin finish him?
Shin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Genia. Genia obviously looking to wear him down.
Shin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Genia swings for the body but Shin moves out of range.
Genia seems to have recovered his senses.
Shin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Shin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Shin checks a low kick from Genia.
Genia connects with a solid leg kick.
Shin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Genia misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Shin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Genia misses the jab.
Shin looks to land a right hand but Genia moved out of range.
Shin throws a sloppy head kick and Genia moves out of range easily.
Shin checks a low kick from Genia.
Genia throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shin is looking to counter punch.
Shin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Genia is looking to slow Shin down with leg kicks.
Genia lands a nice hook to Shin's body. Shin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Genia fakes the leg kick and cracks Shin in the body.
Shin lands a nice looking body shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Genia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Genia looks to move away, Shin throws a big counter combo but Genia just gets out of the way.
Shin slips a jab from Genia.
Genia scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Genia lands with a good body shot.
Shin lunges at Genia with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Genia's hand.
Genia lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Shin ducks under a wild hook from Genia.
Genia tries to land a leg kick but Shin saw it coming and moves away.
An attempted straight right counter from Shin misses the target.
Genia looks to score with a jab to the body but Shin is just out of range.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Genia.
Genia scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Genia throws a right and a left that Shin avoids nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shin lands a big head kick that sends Genia to the canvas! Shin follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lao Shin!
Our winner, Lao Shin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
