Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Gatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Gatt could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Edward Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Gatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Jones! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gatt shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gatt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gatt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Gatt finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones keeping moving, preventing Gatt from controlling successfully. Gatt drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard. Gatt managing to control the position. Gatt working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gatt doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gatt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Gatt's legs - danger averted. Jones wanted to stand there but Gatt had control of the position. Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Gatt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Gatt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gatt tries to advance to mount but can't. Gatt is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well. Gatt advances to full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gatt goes for an armbar but Jones turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jones. Jones wanted to stand there but Gatt had control of the position. Gatt is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones trying to control but Gatt is working from the bottom. Gatt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Gatt will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Gatt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gatt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Gatt half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Gatt shoots in. A decent looking cross lands there for Jones. Jones throws a nice looking combination but Gatt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gatt gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gatt has him pressed against the cage. Jones tries to break free but Gatt pushes him back against the cage. Gatt throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Joness head. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.

Jones pushes Gatt back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Jones lands an uppercut. Jones is trying to push Gatt away but Gatt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Gatt. Gatt is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Gatt. That's going to take a lot out of him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gatt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage. Jones scores with a shoulder strike. A quick uppercut on the inside from Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones misses with a short punch on the inside. Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Gatt is controlling him. Gatt is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gatt is looking for a takedown. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Gatt keeps him there for the moment. Gatt goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gatt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gatt won't allow Jones to get back to his feet. Gatt trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Gatt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Gatt wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Gatt is stalling in the full guard. Gatt wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Gatt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gatt passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well. Gatt tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it. Gatt trying to control from half guard but Jones is working away. Gatt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gatt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edward Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Jones scores with a nice strike. Gatt shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gatt is rocked! Jones throws a hook to the side of Gatt's head but Gatt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gatt clinches up against the cage. Jones tries to break the clinch but Gatt is controlling the position. Jones lands a hook that snaps the head of Gatt backwards. Jones lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gatt backwards. Oh Gatt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gatt has picked Jones up - he's going for a ride! Gatt dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gatt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Edward Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Gatt can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Jones and Gatt drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Jones.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edward Jones! Edward Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
