Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sara McSlamm!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Foster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and McSlamm counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Foster shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McSlamm as he avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from McSlamm on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Foster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Foster is defended easily by McSlamm.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Foster shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Foster showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foster wants to work for an arm triangle but McSlamm is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Foster looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Foster looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Foster is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Foster is keen to just control but McSlamm is a slippery customer.

Foster is thwarting McSlamm's attempts to control the position.
McSlamm is trying to get back to full guard.

McSlamm is defending against the submission attempts here by Foster.
McSlamm wants to improve his position but Foster is controlling well.

Foster is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McSlamm has managed to free his arm - good work.
McSlamm tries to roll over but Foster keeps him under control.

Foster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McSlamm defends it well.
McSlamm is looking to improve his position.

Foster is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but McSlamm still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, McSlamm has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Foster manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
McSlamm working over Foster with some ground and pound. Foster looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McSlamm lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
McSlamm thows a huge punch but Foster dodges it nicely.

Foster actively working from the bottom here.
McSlamm is looking to stall here but Foster recovers full guard.
McSlamm keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Foster's head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McSlamm missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Foster throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
McSlamm trying to control but Foster is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Foster will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Thud! ouch! good body kick from Foster - that will leave a mark!
McSlamm rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Foster counters with a left and a right that stings McSlamm.
McSlamm throws a body kick that misses
and Foster counters with a three punch combo that has McSlamm backing up. McSlamm nods at Foster to acknowledge the strikes.

Foster misses with a kick to the body.
Foster misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McSlamm enables Foster to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McSlamm manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

McSlamm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but McSlamm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Foster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McSlamm is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foster, into his guard.

McSlamm lands a couple of decent looking shots.
McSlamm throws a strike but Foster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Foster drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McSlamm dives on top into guard.

Foster utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

McSlamm stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Foster throws up his legs and catches McSlamm in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! McSlamm tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Foster! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Chris Foster!
Chris Foster managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Sin City Allstars, into his post fight interview.
The defeated Sara McSlamm had this to say: 'I made a mental error. when your flipping a burger thats not a big deal. you dont go to the hospital after forgetting to put the pickle on it... I gotta heal up but ill be back.'.
