Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Herman Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Zappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Herman Hardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Zappa! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zappa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hardy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Zappa. Zappa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are battling for position here. Hardy manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hardy scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Zappa throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hardy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hardy manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardy looking for a sweep. Not yet Hardy, not yet. Hardy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hardy keeping moving, preventing Zappa from controlling successfully. Hardy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Zappa tries to free his leg and advance position but Hardy is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zappa trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom. Zappa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hardy dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy landing some decent shots from guard. Zappa controls Hardy momentarily but Hardy frees himself. Zappa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hardy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Zappa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hardy. Hardy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hardy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Zappa has control of Hardy's left arm, preventing Hardy from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zappa is looking to stand up but Hardy isn't so interested in that idea. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Zappa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hardy moves out of range of the strikes. Hardy appears to be looking for a big counter. Hardy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Zappa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hardy did well to prevent Zappa getting side control. Hardy wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zappa is looking for a kimura but Hardy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zappa to get the leverage. Hardy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Zappa. Zappa scoring with strikes to the body and head. Zappa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hardy sees it coming and defends easily. Hardy is staying active underneath Zappa, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hardy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Zappa trying to control from half guard but Hardy is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zappa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hardy defends it well. Hardy regains full guard. Nicely done. Zappa passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hardy struggling a bit here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zappa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Herman Hardy will probably get the nod. That's time! Hardy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zappa throws a sloppy head kick and Hardy counters with a straight right hand. Hardy darts in looking for a takedown but Zappa gets double underhooks and turns Hardy into the cage. Zappa tries to score with a low kick but Hardy moves his leg out of the way. A head kick misses from Zappa. As Zappa looks to move away, Hardy throws a big counter combo but Zappa just gets out of the way. Zappa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardy sees it coming and avoids it easily. Zappa throws a lazy head kick and Hardy counters with a single leg into guard. Zappa didn't expect that. Hardy prevents Zappa from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zappa looking to control.
Zappa wants to stand and escape but Hardy is having none of it. Hardy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Zappa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hardy escapes and throws Zappa's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Zappa has one of Hardy's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Zappa on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zappa on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Zappa can't do much from the bottom here. Hardy tries for a kimura but Zappa is defending well. Zappa is trying to get back to half guard. Hardy is putting a hurting on Zappa here, landing some big shots from side control. Zappa parries the strikes from Hardy easily there. Hardy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zappa to escape.
Zappa can't do much from the bottom here. Herman Hardy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy working the head with strikes. Hardy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Zappa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hardy looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Zappa is avoiding damage well.
The ground and pound from Hardy seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Zappa regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hardy's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Hardy prevents Zappa from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hardy seems to be working for a kimura but Zappa defends the submission attempt. Hardy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hardy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zappa can do to turn this around? Hardy missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Zappa misses with a hook
and Hardy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zappa throws a head kick but Hardy moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Zappa. Those never looked like landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Herman Hardy dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Zappa gets a takedown into half guard. Hardy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Zappa is pressing down on Hardy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hardy is holding on for now. Zappa lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Zappa is looking to take a break and control but Hardy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hardy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy is wriggling around but Zappa manages to pass to half guard.
