Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Altintop Palonesess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Apache (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apache has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Altintop Palonesess could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Geronimo Apache's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Altintop Palonesess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geronimo Apache!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palonesess defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Apache.
Apache fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Palonesess avoids it really well and circles away.
Palonesess changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Apache misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Altintop Palonesess has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geronimo Apache.
Palonesess wants to clinch up but Apache keeps it at a distance.
Apache is looking for the big counter here.
No luck for Apache with that takedown attempt.
Palonesess throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Palonesess fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Apache manages to avoid it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Apache.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Apache shoots in looking for a takedown. Palonesess tries to sprawl out of it but Apache keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Palonesess manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Apache throws a push kick but Palonesess slaps the foot to one side.
Apache scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Palonesess is not content to let Apache control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Palonesess is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Apache off and has taken his back!
Palonesess has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Apache.
Apache trying to control the position but Palonesess manages to sink in the hooks.
Apache tries to roll but Palonesess sticks to his back.
Apache turns into Palonesess and is now in his guard.
Palonesess utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Apache slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Apache lands a couple of elbows.
Apache with a nice head shot there.
Apache is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Palonesess is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Apache postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Apache gets to his feet. Palonesess looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Apache will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Apache shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Apache was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Palonesess is looking to get back to his feet here but Apache is keeping cool and he's managed to take Palonesess's back.
Apache working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Apache working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Palonesess is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Apache has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Palonesess taps out!
