Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lindsey Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Perkins!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Webb somewhat.
Webb shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Perkins but Perkins pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Perkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Perkins is standing up over Webb. Webb looks to escape but Perkins dives into side control.

Webb tries to bench press Perkins off him but Perkins keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webb manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Webb is trying to work for a kimura but Perkins is defending well.
Perkins has a hand on Webb's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Webb takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Webb manages to capitalize on a mistake by Perkins to take his back!
Webb is not going to allow Perkins to sit and survive in this position.

Perkins defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perkins rolls, trying to escape but Webb keeps control of the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Perkins manages to escape to his feet.
Perkins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Perkins waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Webb.
Perkins moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
TJ Perkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkins scores with a jab to the head.
Good exchange - Perkins coming out on top.
Perkins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Perkins jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Perkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Webb's guard.
Webb lands a decent shot there.

Webb throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Perkins wants to stand and escape but instead Webb has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Webb works over Perkins with some ground and pound from guard.
Webb keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Perkins's head.

Webb drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Webb jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Perkins wriggles free and stands up.
Webb shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perkins as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lindsey Webb. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Perkins closes the distance and clinches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Perkins.
Perkins can't break the clinch.

Webb breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Perkins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Webb sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Webb wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Webb shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perkins as he avoids it easily.

Perkins drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Webb keeping moving, preventing Perkins from controlling successfully.
Perkins looks winded!
Webb throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Webb has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Webb will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TJ Perkins dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Webb walks into a straight right hand from Perkins.

Perkins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Webb tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Webb manages to get back to half guard.
Perkins not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Perkins with the ground and pound but Webb uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Webb keeping moving, preventing Perkins from controlling successfully.
Webb throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webb wants to stand and escape but Perkins is having none of it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Webb is on top in guard.

Webb keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Perkins's head.
Webb lands a couple of elbows.

Webb drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Webb jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Perkins is striking but Webb is not phased and passes to half guard.
Perkins tries to kick Webb off but Webb keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Webb seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Perkins trying to get back to full guard but Webb takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Perkins is breathing heavily.
Webb prevents Perkins from getting the reversal.
Webb tries to control but Perkins wriggling away.
Perkins is just holding on here. Webb manages to take his back.

Webb working for a choke but Perkins is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Perkins tries to escape but Webb has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Perkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Webb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Perkins is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
You can see the frustration on Perkins's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lindsey Webb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Perkins won't enjoy being in this position. Webb looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Perkins is tapping - it's over boys! Webb picks up the submission victory!
