And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Conor Conors!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conors scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Burnhope throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Conors counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Conors connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Burnhope momentarily.
Burnhope walks into a jab.
Burnhope takes a swing at Conors's ribcage but misses.
Conors waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Burnhope.
Burnhope tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conors manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A big right from Conors misses.
Conors keeps the fight on the outside.
It seemed like Conors was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Burnhope.
Conors moves away from the strike by Burnhope.
Burnhope misses with a right hand
and Conors cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Burnhope misses with a lunging right hand
and Conors connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Conors uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Burnhope.
Conors lands a nice shot that snaps Burnhope's head back.


Burnhope is rocked!
Burnhope throws a sloppy body shot
and Conors counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Burnhope misses with a hook. Conors ducked under it nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Burnhope. Conors does a little dance to reset his feet.
Conors keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Burnhope.
Burnhope misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Burnhope goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Burnhope loads up on a big right hand but Conors slips the punch.
Conors fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Burnhope takes a swing at Conors's ribcage but misses.
Burnhope misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Conors.
Conors bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Burnhope clinches up against the cage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Conors.
Burnhope lands with a short shot to the head.
Burnhope scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Burnhope using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Conors has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Burnhope lands a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burnhope tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Burnhope lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Conors fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Conors blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Conors scores with a nice hook to the head.
Burnhope is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Burnhope keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Conors's efforts to push away.
Conors is trying to break the clinch but Burnhope is controlling him.
Conors lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Conors swings wildly with an uppercut but Burnhope uses good head movement to avoid it.

Still in the clinch, Burnhope scores with a nice short uppercut.

Burnhope utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Conors blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Burnhope tries to work over Conors's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Burnhope blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Conors is still on wobbly legs! Can Burnhope finish him?
Burnhope jerks Conors's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Conors drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Burnhope goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Burnhope because Conors was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Bob Burnhope!
