Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaunius Petrs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Severson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jaunius Petrs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Severson!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severson misses with a body shot
and Petrs counters with a two punch combo.
Severson misses with a wild body shot.
Severson swats away the attempt to clinch by Petrs.
Severson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Petrs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Severson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Petrs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A looping hook to the body misses from Severson. Petrs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Petrs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from Severson both land. Nice combination.

Severson moves into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Petrs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Severson is stalling here.
Petrs tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Petrs wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Severson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Severson lands with a right to the head.
Severson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Severson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Petrss head.
Petrs has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A right hook to the body lands for Severson.
Petrs wants to break the clinch but can't.
Severson scores with a nice hook to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Severson presses Petrs against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Severson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Severson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Petrs up against the cage.
Petrs tries to pull guard but Severson won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Petrs's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Severson has a couple of punches blocked by Petrs.
Petrs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Petrs tries to circle away but Severson has him pinned against the cage.
Petrs is trying to break free.
Severson lands with a left to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Petrs has had enough of the clinch but Severson keeps him there for the moment.
Severson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Severson pushes Petrs back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Petrs is rocked!
Severson lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Petrs to his knees! Severson keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
