Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klovek Gluvekenhiem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klovek Gluvekenhiem!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a jab.
Gluvekenhiem goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gluvekenhiem to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gluvekenhiem pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now.
Gluvekenhiem slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gluvekenhiem postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gluvekenhiem can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.

Gluvekenhiem gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Gluvekenhiem fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Gluvekenhiem persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Gluvekenhiem seems content to control.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Gluvekenhiem is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gluvekenhiem controlling the pace.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Gluvekenhiem is controlling well.

Gluvekenhiem takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Johnson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Gluvekenhiem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Johnson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Klovek Gluvekenhiem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gluvekenhiem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Gluvekenhiem.

Gluvekenhiem decides to pull guard.

Gluvekenhiem pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gluvekenhiem throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Gluvekenhiem wants to sweep but no luck.

Gluvekenhiem has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Johnson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Gluvekenhiem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gluvekenhiem shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.
As Gluvekenhiem looks to move away, Johnson throws a big counter combo but Gluvekenhiem just gets out of the way.
Johnson throws a shot to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gluvekenhiem pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gluvekenhiem to keep the fight standing.
Gluvekenhiem jumps guard but Johnson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klovek Gluvekenhiem dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gluvekenhiem throws a head kick that misses.
Gluvekenhiem dodges the punch combination from Johnson.

Gluvekenhiem closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Gluvekenhiem won't allow it.
Gluvekenhiem is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gluvekenhiem ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gluvekenhiem no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gluvekenhiem is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Johnson is looking for a sweep. Gluvekenhiem is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gluvekenhiem thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
Gluvekenhiem is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gluvekenhiem looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson.

Gluvekenhiem gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Gluvekenhiem closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage.

Gluvekenhiem manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Gluvekenhiem's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Gluvekenhiem tightens his grip and picks Johnson up, before dumping him to the ground. Johnson manages to land in guard.

Johnson has his foot on Gluvekenhiem's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gluvekenhiem works his way back into a safe position though.
Gluvekenhiem's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Johnson controls Gluvekenhiem momentarily but Gluvekenhiem frees himself.
Gluvekenhiem stays in close to Johnson's body and controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gluvekenhiem's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Johnson trying to keep a closed guard but Gluvekenhiem is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Gluvekenhiem has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Johnson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gluvekenhiem drops down looking for an ankle pick but Johnson pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klovek Gluvekenhiem showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Gluvekenhiem shoots and misses
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Gluvekenhiem backing up. Gluvekenhiem nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.

and Gluvekenhiem counters by clinching up.
Gluvekenhiem is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bob Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klovek Gluvekenhiem.

Gluvekenhiem turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Gluvekenhiem laying and praying for a moment but Johnson takes advantage and regains half guard.

Gluvekenhiem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gluvekenhiem manages to get himself to full guard.

Gluvekenhiem manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Gluvekenhiem throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bob Johnson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gluvekenhiem has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
