The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rudabaugh closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcfadden's guard.
Mcfadden is wriggling around but Rudabaugh manages to pass to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rudabaugh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rudabaugh shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcfadden napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mcfadden wants to control but Rudabaugh postures up.

James Rudabaugh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Mcfadden gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rudabaugh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rudabaugh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rudabaugh passes Mcfadden's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mcfadden pushes Rudabaugh off looking to stand but Rudabaugh dives back in and keeps control.

Rudabaugh is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mcfadden defends it well.
Rudabaugh thows a huge punch but Mcfadden dodges it nicely.

Rudabaugh decides to stand and escape the position.
A head kick from Rudabaugh lands but Mcfadden takes it in his stride.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rudabaugh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rudabaugh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mcfadden sneaks out the side door and pushes Rudabaugh away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Rudabaugh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
