Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Corncrab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Schield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Corncrab might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TV on the Radio - Wolf Like Me. Schield has chosen Luniz - I got 5 on it as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stanley Corncrab!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corncrab gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Schield trying to stall but Corncrab improves his position.
Schield tries to pull guard but Corncrab won't allow it.

and Corncrab decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Schield's guard.

Corncrab wants to pass the guard but Schield is keeping the position.
Corncrab controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Schield keeping moving, preventing Corncrab from controlling successfully.
Corncrab slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corncrab forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Corncrab trying to mount his opponent but Schield defends it.

Corncrab is working for a submission of some sort.
Corncrab wants to control but Schield is keeping him busy.
Schield is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Corncrab thows a huge punch but Schield dodges it nicely.
Corncrab wants to pass the guard but Schield is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corncrab is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Schield has managed to free his arm - good work.
Schield works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Corncrab avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Corncrab drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Corncrab seems to have locked his on tight now - Schield screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Corncrab, as he picks up the win!
