Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gero throws a nice looking combination but Herzog bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Herzog misses with a hook. Gero ducked under it nicely.
Gero tries to clinch up
and Herzog counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Herzog.

Herzog advances to half guard.
Herzog is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Herzog is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Herzog is looking for a kimura but Gero is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Herzog to get the leverage.

Herzog is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Herzog frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gero has left one of his arms exposed and Herzog doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Gero screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
