The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khaliev tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Burnhope rushes Khaliev and presses him up against the cage.

Burnhope throws a good cross that connects.
Burnhope swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Khaliev gets tackled into the cage by Burnhope. Burnhope maintains the clinch.

Khaliev changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Burnhope fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Khaliev crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Burnhope - the referee stops the clock and Khaliev gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Burnhope. Khaliev manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Khaliev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burnhope is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Khaliev is still on wobbly legs! Can Burnhope finish him?

Burnhope is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Burnhope jerks Khaliev's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Khaliev drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Burnhope goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Burnhope because Khaliev was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
