Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herman Medina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Jordan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan tries to clinch there but Medina circles away.
Medina shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jordan defends it nicely.
Jordan misses with a double jab
and Medina counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jordan pushes Medina off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jordan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Jordan prevents Medina from improving his position.
Medina is working hard here to advance position.

Jordan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Medina's guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Medina manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jordan drags the fight down to the ground.
Medina stands and steps away. Jordan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jordan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jordan wants to pass the guard but Medina is keeping the position.
Medina looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Medina working for a triangle but Jordan defends it easily.

Medina manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jordan manages to get himself to full guard.
Medina decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Medina moves into the clinch.

Medina is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jordan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The referee is keeping an eye on Medina - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Medina tries to pull guard but Jordan forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herman Medina. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Medina manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Medina is breathing heavily.

Jordan works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jordan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jordan tries to pass to full mount but Medina defends it.
Jordan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Medina sees it coming and defends easily.
Jordan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Medina knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jordan prevents Medina from improving his position.
Medina is not content to let Jordan control the position.
Medina looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Herman Medina will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jordan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jordan connects with a nice short shot to Medina's temple.

Jordan seems to be looking for submissions.
Medina trying to hold on to Jordan's head to control him but Jordan postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jordan is keen to just control but Medina is a slippery customer.

Medina gets full guard.
Jordan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Medina is keeping the position for now.
Jordan takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Jordan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Medina to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jordan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Medina pulls down on the head and he's put Jordan to sleep! This one is all over!
