1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Ambrose! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Terry slips under a jab from Ambrose. Terry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ambrose pinned against the cage. Ambrose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ambrose drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Terry defends it well. Ambrose misses with a straight left. Ambrose throws a hook but Terry avoids it easily. Terry swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Terry slips under a jab from Ambrose. Terry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ambrose as he jumps to the side. Ambrose throws a body shot but no joy. Ambrose throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Terry walks into a left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Terry slips under a jab from Ambrose. Terry takes a jab right on the kisser.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ambrose can do anything to dispel that myth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ambrose is trying to buck Terry off. Dean Ambrose seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ambrose is breathing heavily. Ambrose cracks Terry with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Ambrose has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A battle for position here, against the cage.

Ambrose is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Terry is controlling him well. Ambrose parries the strikes from Terry easily there. Terry is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ambrose to escape.
Terry is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ambrose is trying to escape and Terry transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ambrose is forced to tap! Nice work there by Terry! Very nice indeed!
