Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Taichi Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Messie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano's entrance music is Angel of Doom - Shiro Sagisu. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taichi Kitano! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stanley Messie! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kitano slips under a jab. Stanley Messie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Messie jabs Kitano right on the nose. Kitano blinks but takes it well. Messie throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kitano counters with a stiff right hand. Kitano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Messie was well out of range. Poor timing from Kitano. Messie tries to clinch but Kitano is having none of it. Danga de danga de dang - Kitano scores with a four punch combination! Kitano scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Messie doesn't seem bothered though. Kitano blocks a jab. Messie lands with a good body shot. Messie misses with a lunging right hand
and Kitano counters with a lovely straight right hand! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kitano displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Messie throws out the jab. Messie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Messie's coach down at The Factory was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Messie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kitano tries to work over Messie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kitano misses with some punches.

Messie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kitano comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. That's three minutes gone in the round. Messie moves out of range as Kitano strikes. Messie throws a poor cross that misses
and Kitano counters with a right hand to the body. Kitano looks to land a left hand but Messie moved out of range nicely. Messie doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Kitano dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kitano looks to land a combination. Messie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kitano looks to throw the jab but Messie is out of range. Kitano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Messie blocks a jab. A nice side step and Messie releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Kitano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Messie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A countering left hand to the body from Messie misses. Messie misses with a wild body shot. Kitano lands a jab. Messie swings for the body but Kitano moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Messie throws a body punch but Kitano moves out of range. As Messie looks to move away, Kitano throws a big counter combo but Messie just gets out of the way. Messie takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kitano scores with a jab.
It looks like Stanley Messie has been cut. Kitano is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Messie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kitano connects with a body shot that sends Messie's belly button to the back. Kitano throws an overhand right that lands on Messie's shoulder, as Messie tries to avoid the shot. Kitano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Messie. Messie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kitano slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kitano just misses with a punch to the body.

and Messie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kitano throws a left and a right that both miss
and Messie counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kitano thinking. Kitano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Messie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Taichi Kitano dominated that round. The cut man is working on Stanley Messie's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Messie is rocked! Kitano fakes the body blow, causing Messie to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Messie goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

A relieved looking Taichi Kitano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
