Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phill Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Cult Of Personailty. Anthony Cormier is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier throws a shot to the body.
Brooks misses with a takedown attempt
and Cormier makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cormier thuds a left hand into Brooks's body.
A jab from Cormier does it's job there.
Cormier circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Cormier counter with a right hand.
Brooks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cormier is fending him off so far but Brooks persists. Nope, Cormier circles away and we're back to standing.
Cormier scores with a hook to the body. Brooks takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cormier tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cormier to the ground. Cormier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phill Brooks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brooks moves forwards but Cormier connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brooks really is a fat lump.

Brooks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Brooks is rocked!
Cormier steps in with a hook that catches Brooks right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Cormier follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Brooks looks absolutely devastated.
