The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barns drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hudson wriggles free and stands up.

Hudson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hudson looks to land a right hand but Barns moved out of range.

Barns fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hudson to the ground. Barns is now in Hudson's guard.

Barns would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hudson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hudson lands in his opponent's guard.

Hudson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Barns clinches up with Hudson and pushes him back against the cage.

Barns breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Barns shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Barns stalling away here and it's allowed Hudson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Hudson wants to get back to his feet but Barns is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hudson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Barns drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Barns is trying to break free.
Barns is breathing heavily.
Hudson controlling the position well here. Barns rolled but Hudson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Hudson is cranking Barns's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Barns! He's tightened the choke and Barns is tapping out!
