Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Mcgroin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg House! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgroin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. House shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcgroin as he avoids it easily. House shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. House showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. House is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mcgroin moves into full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. House with a lazy takedown attempt and Mcgroin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. Phil Mcgroin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg House. Mcgroin wants to clinch up but House keeps it at a distance. Mcgroin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts House as he jumps to the side. House throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcgroin's waist but Mcgroin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing House off to one side. House drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. He has the arm isolated but Mcgroin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg House dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
House scores with a takedown into Mcgroin's guard. House passes Mcgroin's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mcgroin is defending against the submission attempts here by House.
Mcgroin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. House slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. House is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mcgroin is trying to escape and House transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mcgroin is forced to tap! Nice work there by House! Very nice indeed!
