The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wellwood stuffs the takedown attempt from Pottsy. Pottsy gets slowly back to his feet.
Kimbo Pottsy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pottsy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wellwood swivels and escapes.

Wellwood looks to land a left hand but Pottsy moved out of range nicely.
Pottsy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wellwood throws a leg kick which misses Pottsy's front leg but catches the back leg as Pottsy tries to avoid it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wellwood, as that shot connected.
Wellwood buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wellwood throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kyle Wellwood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pottsy on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Wellwood thuds a left hand into Pottsy's body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wellwood.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pottsy.

Wellwood drops Pottsy with a beautiful combination! Pottsy stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Wellwood is looking for the KO!

Pottsy looks up at the clock. Bad move! Wellwood lands a right hand from hell, dropping Pottsy. Wellwood pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
