Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duke Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogue Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Duke Newell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogue Four! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Four staying out of range there. A combination from Four does no damage. Newell swings for the body but Four moves out of range.
Four moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Four uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Newell scoring well with a low kick there.
Newell misses with an uppercut. Newell with a jab. Four blocks a head kick by Newell.
Four tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Newell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Newell missing with a left hand there. Four was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Four is looking to clinch. Four takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Newell takes a swing at Four's ribcage but misses. Newell drives through with a takedown into Four's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Newell throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Four swivels though and keeps the full guard. Newell with a flurry of punches that miss. Newell wants to control from the top but Four keeps moving. Newell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Newell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Four has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Newell has managed to get both his arms back between Four's legs - danger averted. Newell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Newell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Newell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Four can't keep his opponent in guard - Newell advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Newell missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Four is not content to let Newell control the position. Newell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Newell wants to control but Four is keeping him busy. Newell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Newell slips a nice elbow through Four's hands, connecting with Four's forehead. Newell is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Newell is trying to control. Four wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newell wants to advance to full mount but Four doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Four looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Newell passes into half guard.
Four looking for submissions off his back. Four is trying to maintain the position but Newell is very close to passing his half guard. Newell throws a strike but Four avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Newell has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Four to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Newell is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Four pulls down on the head and he's put Newell to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rogue Four!
