Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Huey Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kubo Ito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huey Stokes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Huey Stokes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kubo Ito! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ito gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stokes to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ito keeping moving, preventing Stokes from controlling successfully. Ito is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Stokes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Stokes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ito pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ito drives through and clinches with Stokes against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stokes on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Stokes tries to circle away but Ito has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ito works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Ito stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stokes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ito controlling from the top position. Ito works over Stokes with some ground and pound from guard. Ito controls from within his opponent's guard. Ito wants to control from the top but Stokes keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stokes throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ito looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ito throws a body punch but Stokes moves out of range. Stokes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ito misses with an elbow from the bottom. Stokes controlling the position. Ito can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stokes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ito is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Stokes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ito, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Ito's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ito is looking to reverse the position. Stokes stands up and we're back to a striking position. Ito tries to clinch but Stokes moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stokes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ito feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ito is stalling in the full guard. Ito trying to control but Stokes is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kubo Ito dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ito throws a body kick that misses. Stokes avoids the head kick by Ito.
Ito just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromStokes. Kubo Ito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ito drives through with a takedown into guard. Ito slips nicely into half guard. Ito trying to control from Stokes's half guard. Stokes has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Ito has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ito controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stokes wants to get back to his feet but Ito is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ito throws a strike but Stokes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Stokes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Stokes drops back looking for a leg! Ito is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ito manages to kick Stokes off! Stokes jumps back into Ito's guard. Ito had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stokes defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ito seems keen to control Stokes's posture. Stokes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ito controlling Stokes's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ito drives through with a takedown into guard. Stokes manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Ito has had enough of the clinch but Stokes keeps him there for the moment. Ito breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stokes tries to close the distance and clinch but Ito swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ito closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stokes manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ito decides to return to a standing position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ito shoots in and bounces Stokes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ito slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ito decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stokes, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kubo Ito will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ito is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ito looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stokes is trying to stand up here but Ito is controlling him well. Ito is controlling the pace.
Ito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stokes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stokes wants to improve his position but Ito is controlling well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ito trying to control the action but Stokes is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ito trying to control from Stokes's half guard. Stokes has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Ito stands up from Stokes's guard - Ito perhaps looking for a knockout. Stokes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ito manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are working up against the cage. Ito manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ito is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stokes can't fight it off and eventually Ito manages to take the fight to the floor. Stokes looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Stokes pushes Ito off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Ito has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ito tries to stall but Stokes uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Stokes tries to score a body lock takedown but Ito shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ito escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ito throws a quick inside leg kick. Stokes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stokes goes for a double leg but Ito avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ito continues to drive forward. Ito closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ito wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stokes, who protects the arm well. Ito is looking to take a break and control but Stokes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Kubo Ito comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ito has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kubo Ito! In his post fight interview, Kubo Ito started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
