Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Head Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bach Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schtrappe has chosen Phobia by Kreator as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bach Schtrappe!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schtrappe takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Schtrappe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Coach buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Schtrappe wants to land a leg kick but Coach is out of range.
Schtrappe throws out a leg kick but Coach moves out of range and Schtrappe only half commits.
Coach lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Schtrappe.
Coach dips to his left and cracks Schtrappe with an uppercut!
Coach wants to clinch
and Schtrappe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schtrappe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Coach.

Schtrappe was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Schtrappe steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Coach. That one must have hurt.
Coach is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

enabling Coach to counter with a crisp jab.
Schtrappe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coach moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Coach throws a nice looking combination but Schtrappe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Coach throws a jab but it's blocked by Schtrappe.

Schtrappe throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
It looked like Coach wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Coach is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schtrappe can do to turn this around?

Schtrappe throws a body punch but Coach moves out of range.
Schtrappe throws a lazy right hand but Coach sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Schtrappe counters with a slapping leg kick.
Coach lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Schtrappe pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Coach throws a series of punches but Schtrappe avoids them all with ease.
Coach scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coach tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Schtrappe defends well and Coach ends up having to push Schtrappe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Schtrappe misses with an uppercut
and Coach counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Schtrappe might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Coach has got the better of the exchanges.
Coach connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Coach dives in and grabs Schtrappe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Schtrappe pushes down on Coach's head and hops out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Schtrappe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Coach's hands.

Schtrappe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Coach stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Crunch! Schtrappe slams his shin into Coach's torso.

Coach shoots in for a double leg but Schtrappe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Head Coach. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schtrappe tries a low kick but Coach avoids it.
Schtrappe does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Coach dodges the punch combination from Schtrappe.
Coach was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Schtrappe loads up on a big right hand but Coach slips the punch.
A counter left hand to the body from Coach misses its target.

Schtrappe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Coach has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Coach bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Head Coach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Head Coach will probably get the nod.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Coach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Head Coach.
Well Coach has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
