Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Linwood Purcell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tod Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Linwood Purcell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tod Truck! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Truck tried to score with a low kick but Purcell checks it. Tod Truck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown attempt by Purcell or perhaps it was just good defense by Truck, which made it look bad. Purcell slips a jab and a cross from Truck.
Purcell tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Truck manages to circle out of the way. Truck swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Truck misses with the combination.
Purcell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Truck avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Purcell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Truck.
Purcell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Linwood Purcell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Truck throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Truck lands a nice looking body shot.
Truck's coach down at Arvins Bootcamp was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Truck's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Purcell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Truck circles away. Truck moves into the clinch successfully.
Truck is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Purcell is defending well for now. Truck tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Purcell avoids it. Purcell gets a trip takedown into half guard. Truck trying to control from the bottom.
Purcell is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Truck is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
