Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Mcclain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamdak Burgam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hamdak Burgam has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Elvis Mcclain's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elvis Mcclain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hamdak Burgam!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcclain gets a takedown into half guard.
Burgam is doing well to control the position and prevent Mcclain from advancing to side control.
Burgam looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Burgam wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burgam is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mcclain's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mcclain's back!
Mcclain tries to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Burgam lands a shot to the body.
Mcclain could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Burgam misses with an elbow to the head.

Mcclain manages to stand up with Burgam still on his back. Eventually Burgam drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Mcclain throws out a powerful jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burgam with a poor takedown
and Mcclain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcclain wants to clinch but Burgam slips to the side

and Burgam counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Burgam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burgam throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mcclain wants to control but Burgam is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Burgam stands up from half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown attempt by Burgam or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcclain, which made it look bad.
Mcclain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burgam but Burgam pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mcclain sets himself, and Burgam steps forward looking for the clinch! Mcclain avoids it this time.
Mcclain is breathing heavily.

Burgam has closed the distance and engaged Mcclain in a clinch.
A body shot lands from Burgam.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamdak Burgam dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Mcclain tries to keep at a distance but Burgam has taken the fight into the clinch.
Burgam is struggling to control the position.
Burgam tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Burgam has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcclain avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Burgam has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcclain uses from the top position.
Burgam seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Burgam is continuing to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The adventures of Burgam the control monster continue. Boring.
Burgam has a closed guard, preventing Mcclain from standing up.
Burgam wants to sweep here but Mcclain controlling him for the moment.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mcclain with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mcclain misses with an uppercut. Burgam saw that one coming.
Burgam goes for a double leg but Mcclain avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mcclain continues to drive forward.

Elvis Mcclain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamdak Burgam.
Mcclain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Burgam takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mcclain.

Mcclain looks for a takedown but Burgam sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burgam closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Burgam turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Burgam manages to end up in side control.

Burgam working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mcclain is trying to control Burgam's posture but Burgam avoids it.
Burgam in side control, throwing shots but Mcclain defends.
Burgam in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Mcclain trying his best to control but Burgam has mounted him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamdak Burgam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Burgam has a takedown stuffed.
Mcclain half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Burgam. No joy for Mcclain on that attempt.
Burgam appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Burgam shoots and misses

Mcclain goes for a double leg but Burgam avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Burgam continues to drive forward.
Burgam lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcclain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burgam circles away quickly and effectively.

Burgam pulls Mcclain into guard.
Burgam pulls Mcclain in close to prevent any damage.

Burgam has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mcclain off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mcclain's jab looks to have found its range, popping Burgam under the eye.
Burgam takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Burgam takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcclain swings widly with a right hand
and Burgam counters with a low kick, right behind Mcclain 's knee.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mcclain leaves Burgam with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mcclain attempts a counter takedown but Burgam avoids it well and moves away.
Elvis Mcclain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamdak Burgam.

enabling Mcclain to counter with a crisp jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Burgam.

Burgam shoots in for a double leg but Mcclain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Burgam shoots for a takedown but Mcclain saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mcclain appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Mcclain uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Burgam has time to react.
Burgam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burgam misses with a takedown attempt
and Mcclain counters with a nice uppercut.
Burgam has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Burgam there as he acknowledges the shot.

Mcclain slaps away a takedown attempt from Burgam, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck for Burgam with that takedown attempt.
Burgam walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Elvis Mcclain showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Burgam has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Hamdak Burgam was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
