Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Steinar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Austin French!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Karl Steinar!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steinar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Frenchs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nice takedown defense from Steinar. No joy for French on that attempt.
Steinar throws a head kick that misses

and French counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Steinar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. French is working away from the top position though.

Steinar looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
French is thwarting Steinar's attempts to control the position.

French stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steinar drives through and clinches with French against the cage.

French tries to break the clinch but Steinar is controlling the position.

Steinar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as French walks away with a smile on his face. Steinar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Steinar shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. French defends it nicely.

Steinar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with French, pushing him back against the cage.

Steinar successfully pulls guard.

Steinar looking for subs off his back but French has passed one foot through into half guard.
Steinar tries to get to full guard but French has control of the leg.
French working over Steinar with some ground and pound. Steinar looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

French gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Steinar has managed to clinch.

French breaks the clinch.
No luck for Steinar with that takedown attempt.
Austin French has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Steinar.
Steinar tries to close the distance and clinch up but French swats him away and circles back towards the center.

French keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Steinar jumps guard but French stands there with Steinar around his waist. Steinar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Steinar is breathing heavily.
Steinar throws a punch but it's blocked by French.
French has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Steinar.

French can't break the clinch.

Steinar is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
French is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Steinar to keep the fight standing.

French drags the fight down to the ground.
French doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

French has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steinar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Steinar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. French swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Steinar postures up in French's guard and throws a big left but French blocks it.

Steinar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
French is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

French working for submissions but it's allowed Steinar to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Steinar wants to free his trapped foot but French is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Karl Steinar will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! French's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

French shoots and misses

and Steinar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
French is trying to pull guard but Steinar turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
French tries to circle away but Steinar has him pinned against the cage.
French blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Steinar has French pushed against the cage.

French jumps guard and drags Steinar to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
French trying to control the position.
Steinar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with French. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Steinar is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but French has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Steinar is looking to defend but French has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Steinar! French pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Steinar taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Austin French!
