Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dixie Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 3, fighting out of New York, Ray Lennox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixie Small! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Small throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lennox throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Small stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Small smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Small tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lennox was well out of range. Poor timing from Small. Lennox uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Small.

Small misses with a straight left. Small throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lennox. Lennox appears to be looking for a big counter. Small jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lennox is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Small. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lazy body kick from Lennox and Small counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Small has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Lennox misses with a low kick.
Small looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Lennox is looking to chop away at Small's legs. Lennox takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round. Small shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lennox is trying to defend but Small finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Small content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Small moves into full mount! Lennox won't be happy about that! Small connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lennox controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Small keeping moving, preventing Lennox from controlling successfully. Lennox chips away with some ground and pound. Lennox wants to control from the top but Small keeps moving. Lennox has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Small looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Small throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lennox escapes and throws Small's legs to the side, diving into side control! Lennox taking a breather here. Lennox has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lennox misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The referee asks Lennox politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lennox prefers to stall for the moment though. Small defending against the ground and pound. Lennox connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Small some visible discomfort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Small tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lennox wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lennox cracks Small with a big right hand but Small just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Lennox eventually gives up the hold. Lennox trying to control the action but Small is working from the bottom. Lennox with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dixie Small dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Lennox fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Small throws a jab but it's blocked by Lennox. Small throws a looping overhand right but Lennox ducks down to avoid it. Lennox was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A slapping leg kick lands for Lennox.
Lennox swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lennox does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lennox scores with a decent looking hook. Small checks the leg kick. Small swings widly with a right hand
and Lennox counters with a thumping low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Small looks to land a left hand but Lennox moved out of range nicely. Lennox throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Small throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lennox. Lennox lets loose with a powerful body kick. Small will feel that in the morning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Small cracks Lennox with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Lennox throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Dixie Small has been cut. Lennox throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Lennox misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Small counters with a lovely straight right hand! Small moves out of range as Lennox throws a body kick.

Dixie Small showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dixie Small's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Small has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lennox throws the left hand but Small avoids the punch easily. Small feints the counter takedown. Lennox gets off balance looking for a body kick letting Small counter with a right hand. Small loads up on a big right hand but Lennox slips the punch. Small blocks a leg kick. Lennox lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Lennox sprawls well initially but Small persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Small thows a huge punch but Lennox dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Small is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Small content to control rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Small works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A big left from Small misses. Lennox throws a shot to the body.
Lennox lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dixie Small. Well Small has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
