Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butcher's entrance music is Won't Back Down. A fine choice. Billy Butcher has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Butcher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Robinson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Robinson. Those never looked like landing. Butcher throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Robinson moves out of range of the strikes. Butcher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A punch combination from Robinson misses. Butcher seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Robinson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Robinson throws a right and a left that both miss. Good shot there by Butcher. Butcher getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Robinson throws a right and a left that both miss. Butcher throws a big counter combination but Robinson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. A slapping leg kick lands for Butcher.
A low kick from Robinson is predictable there and Butcher counters with an inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Robinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Butcher tries to sprawl out of it but Robinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Butcher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chris Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Butcher avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butcher lands a jab to the nose. Robinson throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Robinson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Robinson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Robinson takes one to the chin there. Butcher's corner calls for a 1-2. Butcher obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Butcher is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Butcher waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Robinson. Robinson doesn't manage to clinch there - Butcher circles away.
It looked like Butcher was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Butcher scores with a jab. Robinson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Robinson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Butcher counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Robinson thinking. Butcher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Robinson moves away. Robinson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Butcher cracks Robinson with an open hand slap. Butcher throws a leg kick enabling Robinson to counter with a crisp jab. Butcher is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Butcher leaves Robinson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robinson misses with a body kick. Robinson fails in his attempt to clinch. Butcher dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Robinson. That did some damage! Decent striking displayed by Butcher there. Butcher is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Robinson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Butcher sprawls well initially but Robinson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Butcher has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Robinson is on him like a limpet, forcing Butcher back against the cage. Butcher avoiding damage.

It looks like Chris Robinson has been cut. Robinson pulls guard successfully.
Robinson wants to sweep here but Butcher controlling him for the moment. Butcher controlling from the top position. Butcher has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Butcher trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Butcher showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Robinson wants to clinch but Butcher slips to the side and Butcher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Robinson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Butcher to the ground. Robinson is now in Butcher's guard. Butcher is controlling Robinson's posture. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Butcher looking for a sweep. Not yet Butcher, not yet. Butcher is working hard here to advance position. Robinson wants to control from the top but Butcher keeps moving. Butcher pulls Robinson in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Butcher dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Robinson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Butcher lands a lovely overhand right. Robinson misses with a takedown attempt and Robinson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Butcher connects with a solid leg kick. That kick from Butcher tenderised Robinson's leg. Robinson is trying to keep his angry face on. Robinson gets a takedown into half guard. Butcher manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Robinson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Butcher is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Robinson can do to turn this around? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Butcher using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Robinson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Robinson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Butcher smiles and moves away.

Butcher was covering up waiting for the punch and Robinson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Butcher keeping full guard, as Robinson tries to pass. Butcher is controlling Robinson's posture. Robinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Butcher swivels though and keeps the full guard. Robinson lands a couple of digs. Butcher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Butcher keeping moving, preventing Robinson from controlling successfully. Butcher working a defensive guard but Robinson manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robinson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Who's going to make the next move? Robinson working away. Robinson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Butcher is not content to let Robinson control the position. Butcher gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Robinson trying to mount his opponent but Butcher defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Butcher keeps working. Butcher trying to control from the bottom.
Butcher taking some punishment here, with Robinson in his half guard. Butcher is doing well to control the position and prevent Robinson from advancing to side control. Butcher is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Robinson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Robinson's back! Butcher is hanging on to Robinson's back as he tries to escape.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Billy Butcher dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Chris Robinson's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Butcher displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Robinson throws out the jab. Some bone on bone action there as Butcher checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Butcher swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Butcher takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Butcher looks to land a right hand but Robinson moved out of range. Butcher cracks Robinson with a right hand to the side of the head. Robinson misses with a two punch combination.

Robinson throws a shot from downtown. Butcher moves away and avoids it. Robinson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Robinson lands with a nice combination. Butcher backs away looking to recover. Robinson doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Butcher counter with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Butcher throws a hook but Robinson blocks it. Robinson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Butcher throws out the jab. Robinson shoots in but Butcher avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butcher lands a head kick. Robinson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Butcher misses with an uppercut. Butcher clinches. Robinson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Butcher gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Billy Butcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Robinson. Butcher tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Butcher gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Butcher gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Robinson.
Robinson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Robinson fails to pull guard.
Butcher drops Robinson with a big knee straight up the middle! Robinson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Robinson is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Robinson dives in and grabs Butcher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butcher pushes down on Robinson's head and hops out. Butcher was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Chris Robinson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butcher moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Robinson is still on wobbly legs! Can Butcher finish him? Robinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Butcher closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Robinson out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
