Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Severson has closed the distance and engaged Ilich in a clinch.
Ilich has Severson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Severson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ilich goes for a takedown in the clinch but Severson prevents it.
Severson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ilich backwards.
Ilich is trying to drag Severson to the mat but Severson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jay Severson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlantimir Ilich.
Severson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ilich.
Severson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

I was talking to Severson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
