Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nils Holgersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neo Wiggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holgersson comes to the cage accompanied by Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neo Wiggin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiggin is looking to clinch but Holgersson is avoiding it.
Wiggin scores with a jab.
A head kick misses from Wiggin.
Wiggin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A cross from Wiggin lands.
Wiggin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Holgersson attempts a counter takedown but Wiggin avoids it well and moves away.
Wiggin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Holgersson misses with the body kick
and Wiggin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wiggin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wiggin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Holgersson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Holgersson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wiggin.

Holgersson misses with a body kick.
Holgersson has been working on his balance at Ballshoi Ballet 3, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Wiggin.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Holgersson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wiggin's guard.
Holgersson throws a big elbow that misses.

Holgersson wants to control from the top but Wiggin keeps moving.

Holgersson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wiggin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Holgersson but great work by Wiggin.

Holgersson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wiggin's best efforts.

Holgersson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wiggin stands up over Holgersson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wiggin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Holgersson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wiggin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wiggin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Holgersson has momentary wrist control but Wiggin slips an elbow through the middle.

Holgersson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wiggin defends it easily.
Wiggin is working Holgersson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wiggin wants to pass the guard but Holgersson is keeping the position.

Neo Wiggin dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Holgersson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wiggin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wiggin is trying to control Holgersson's posture but Holgersson avoids it.
Wiggin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Holgersson off and has taken his back!
Holgersson is trying to remain composed but Wiggin is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Wiggin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wiggin lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Wiggin is trying to stick to Holgersson's back but Holgersson is turning into Wiggin. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wiggin's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Holgersson.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Holgersson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wiggin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wiggin tries to strike from the bottom.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Wiggin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Holgersson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wiggin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wiggin cracks Holgersson with a solid left hand.


Holgersson is rocked!
Wiggin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Oh Holgersson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Holgersson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wiggin has picked Holgersson up and slammed him! Holgersson can't keep hold of the triangle and Wiggin manages to pass to side control!

Holgersson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wiggin scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Holgersson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Wiggin can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neo Wiggin!
Neo Wiggin is the new lightweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Neo Wiggin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Nils Holgersson stepped up to the mic, saying 'Fyfan!'.
