Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JACK DEMPSEY! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CHAAAAALIE HUSTLE! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! HUSTLE fails with an attempt to clinch.
DEMPSEY pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. HUSTLE fails with an attempt to clinch.
DEMPSEY throws a right and a left that both miss. HUSTLE ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. HUSTLE misses with a wild body shot. DEMPSEY misses with a leg kick. DEMPSEY tries to keep at a distance but HUSTLE has taken the fight into the clinch. HUSTLE is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. HUSTLE tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. DEMPSEY smiles and moves away.
DEMPSEY shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts HUSTLE as he jumps to the side. HUSTLE with a poor takedown and DEMPSEY counters with a left and a right that stings HUSTLE. DEMPSEY is looking to take this fight into the clinch. DEMPSEY blocks a head kick by HUSTLE.
That's one minute gone in the round. HUSTLE closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. HUSTLE tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. HUSTLE is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. HUSTLE looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks DEMPSEY with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. HUSTLE is keen to just control but DEMPSEY is a slippery customer. HUSTLE prevents DEMPSEY from standing back up.
DEMPSEY is looking to control HUSTLE's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DEMPSEY avoid being mounted? HUSTLE works his way into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DEMPSEY gets back to half guard. DEMPSEY is breathing heavily. DEMPSEY manages to get to full guard.
DEMPSEY is trying to control the position but HUSTLE postures up. DEMPSEY wants to stand up but HUSTLE is controlling him. DEMPSEY scores with a nice shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DEMPSEY keeping moving, preventing HUSTLE from controlling successfully. HUSTLE wants to stand but DEMPSEY is controlling his posture from full guard. HUSTLE slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. DEMPSEY trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. HUSTLE stands up from guard. Let's bang! HUSTLE has taken the fight to the clinch.
DEMPSEY fails to pull guard.
HUSTLE works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. HUSTLE really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DEMPSEY. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. HUSTLE throwing strikes but missing. DEMPSEY is trying to keep HUSTLE in close.
HUSTLE pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. DEMPSEY is keeping the position for now. HUSTLE is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CHAAAAALIE HUSTLE dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
HUSTLE shoots in for a takedown but DEMPSEY shows good takedown defense. DEMPSEY throws a lazy head kick and HUSTLE counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for DEMPSEY! HUSTLE throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. DEMPSEY wants to hold on but HUSTLE pushes him away. HUSTLE is in the full mount, landing strikes. DEMPSEY regains half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. HUSTLE sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. HUSTLE prevents DEMPSEY from improving his position. DEMPSEY is trying to stand back up but HUSTLE is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Well, if HUSTLE is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
HUSTLE's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. HUSTLE works his foot free and advances to mount. DEMPSEY is bucking up trying to escape but HUSTLE cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. HUSTLE has hold of DEMPSEY's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and DEMPSEY manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
HUSTLE with good strikes from the mount here! DEMPSEY tries to hold on but HUSTLE postures up. HUSTLE stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. DEMPSEY stuns HUSTLE with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. HUSTLE feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. HUSTLE postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DEMPSEY not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
DEMPSEY looking to sweep here. No luck so far. DEMPSEY with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing HUSTLE can't handle though.
DEMPSEY is trying to keep HUSTLE in close.
HUSTLE lands a couple of elbows. DEMPSEY throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. HUSTLE gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CHAAAAALIE HUSTLE showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! DEMPSEY's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
HUSTLE shoots in but DEMPSEY avoids the takedown attempt easily. DEMPSEY bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. HUSTLE tries to get back to half guard but can't. HUSTLE is trying to escape the position but DEMPSEY is controlling the position. HUSTLE tries to buck DEMPSEY off but DEMPSEY is having none of it. DEMPSEY scoring with punches from side control. DEMPSEY trying to control the position but HUSTLE is working away. DEMPSEY is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because HUSTLE is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. HUSTLE is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. DEMPSEY is keen to just control but HUSTLE is a slippery customer. HUSTLE tries to roll over but DEMPSEY keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DEMPSEY moves nicely into side control. DEMPSEY working away. HUSTLE is looking to regain half guard here but DEMPSEY keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. DEMPSEY wants to lay and pray for a moment but HUSTLE keeps working. DEMPSEY decides to stand up, so the ref orders HUSTLE to his feet. DEMPSEY tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. HUSTLE scores with a takedown into DEMPSEY's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as DEMPSEY holds on and takes a little breather. HUSTLE stands and steps away. DEMPSEY gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. HUSTLE misses with a takedown and DEMPSEY counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for HUSTLE! HUSTLE is working to get back to half guard.
DEMPSEY tries to control but HUSTLE wriggling away. HUSTLE is looking to improve his position but DEMPSEY isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. HUSTLE blocking the ground and pound. HUSTLE tries to reverse the position but DEMPSEY maintains control. DEMPSEY working away from the top, dropping strikes. HUSTLE is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but DEMPSEY turns him over and now has his back. DEMPSEY just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

And that's the end of the fight! JACK DEMPSEY showed his dominance in that final round. I think HUSTLE has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
