Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patricia Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamdak Burgam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Patricia Riggs has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Patricia Riggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hamdak Burgam! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burgam gets in close and instigates a clinch. Riggs using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Burgam has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Riggs pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Riggs can't keep his opponent in guard - Burgam advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Riggs tries to roll over but Burgam keeps him under control. Burgam perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riggs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Riggs tries to get to full guard but Burgam has control of the leg. Burgam trying to control from half guard but Riggs is working away. Riggs is looking to control Burgam's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Riggs avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burgam working Riggs over with strikes. Burgam stops Riggs from getting back to his feet.
Riggs tries to roll over but Burgam keeps him under control. Burgam winds up and cracks Riggs with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riggs controlling the position well. Riggs moves into full guard.

Burgam looking to pass the guard. Burgam works over Riggs with some ground and pound from guard. Burgam with a flurry of punches that miss. Riggs being controlled here, momentarily. Burgam trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Burgam throws a big elbow that misses. Burgam slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Riggs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burgam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Burgam is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Riggs is trying to keep Burgam in close.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Riggs throws a leg kick but Burgam sees it coming and checks it nicely. Riggs darts in looking for a takedown but Burgam gets double underhooks and turns Riggs into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burgam closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Riggs quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Riggs manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Burgam has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Burgam avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Riggs is breathing heavily. Burgam trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom. Burgam might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Riggs haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Riggs is adopting a defensive guard. Burgam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riggs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Burgam looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Burgam lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgam with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Riggs wants to sweep but no luck. Burgam is pushing down on Riggs's leg trying to pass to half guard. Riggs is fighting to maintain full guard but Burgam has managed to sneak the leg through. Burgam working Riggs over with strikes. Riggs is looking for a sweep. Burgam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Burgam scoring with strikes to the body and head. Burgam working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Burgam is trying to control. Riggs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Riggs trying to hold on to Burgam's head to control him but Burgam postures up.
Burgam tries to pass the half guard into mount. Riggs knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Riggs trying to control here.
Burgam is looking for a kimura here.

Hamdak Burgam dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Burgam dives in and grabs Riggs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Riggs pushes down on Burgam's head and hops out. Riggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burgam. Riggs gets the takedown into side control. Burgam throws Riggs to one side and escapes! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burgam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Patricia Riggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamdak Burgam. Burgam moves into the clinch. Burgam is breathing heavily.

Burgam has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Riggs blocks an uppercut.

Burgam looks to score with a jab to the body but Riggs is just out of range. Burgam gets a takedown into half guard. Riggs is looking to improve his position.
Burgam is thwarting Riggs's attempts to control the position. Burgam is keen to just control but Riggs is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riggs on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Burgam controlling the pace. Burgam is working for a submission of some sort.
Burgam prevents Riggs from improving his position. Riggs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burgam is working away from the top position though. Riggs looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riggs pulls Burgam in to control the position. Riggs is trying to keep Burgam in close.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Burgam with a poor takedown and Riggs makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Burgam really felt that one! Both fighters circling a little - Riggs finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Burgam rushes Riggs and presses him up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgam wants to take the fight to the mat but Riggs manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Burgam creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Riggs effectively controlling the action here. Riggs is looking to take this one to the mat. Burgam lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Hamdak Burgam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Riggs is defended easily by Burgam. Burgam scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Riggs throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Burgam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Burgam goes for a double leg but Riggs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Riggs continues to drive forward. Riggs closes the distance looking to clinch and Burgam counters with a shoot takedown. Riggs fights it but they end up in guard. Riggs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burgam defends it easily. Riggs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burgam trying to control the position from guard on top but Riggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Burgam slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Burgam with a flurry of punches that miss. Burgam content to stall in guard here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Burgam wants to control from the top but Riggs keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Burgam misses with a takedown and Riggs counters with a left and a right that stings Burgam.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riggs lands a front kick. Burgam gets in close and instigates a clinch. Burgam is working for takedown but Riggs is calmly controlling the position for now. Patricia Riggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamdak Burgam. Riggs tries to circle away but Burgam has him pinned against the cage. Riggs is trying to force a seperation but Burgam has the dominant position. Riggs is trying to push Burgam away but Burgam has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A frustrated look appears on Riggs's face as he tries to break the clinch. Riggs throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Burgam blocks it with crossed arms. Riggs manages to break the clinch.
Patricia Riggs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Burgam takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgam looks for a takedown but Riggs sprawls well. Riggs seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Riggs throws a body kick that misses. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Riggs misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Riggs tries to bum rush Burgam with a series of wild strikes but Burgam uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Patricia Riggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hamdak Burgam is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Riggs throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Patricia Riggs showed his dominance in that final round. I think Burgam has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Hamdak Burgam! After the fight, Hamdak Burgam was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
