Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Cezo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dux comes to the cage accompanied by DZK - Bow Down. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dennis Dux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Cezo! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cezo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cezo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dux shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Cezo is working to get back to half guard.
Cezo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Dux looking for a sweep. Not yet Dux, not yet. Cezo stands and throws Dux's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cezo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cezo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cezo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cezo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dux is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dux gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Cezo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dux can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cezo pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Dux is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dux knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cezo on the ground. Dux tries to lock up and control but Cezo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Cezo with the ground and pound from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dux is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dux looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. Dux bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Dux scoring with some ground and pound. Dux might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cezo working for a triangle but Dux defends it easily.
Dux scoring with punches to the head and body. Dux has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cezo can't keep his opponent in guard - Dux advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cezo tries to get to full guard but Dux has control of the leg. Cezo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dux scores with a couple of nice shots. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cezo trying to control but Dux postures up.

Dux stops Cezo from getting back to his feet.
Cezo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cezo. Dux looking to pass the guard. Cezo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dux! Cezo pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Dux tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dux is working hard here to advance position. Dux regains half guard. Cezo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dux keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cezo looking for a guillotine from mount but Dux is having none of it. Cezo prevents Dux from getting the reversal. Cezo is standing up, even though he is in mount. Cezo with a lazy takedown attempt and Dux counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dux looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cezo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cezo wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dux takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Nice strikes from Dux there. Cezo wants to get back to full guard. Cezo is defending against the submission attempts here by Dux.
Dux slows the pace down in half guard. Dux seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cezo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dux closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dux keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cezo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dux scores with a couple of nice shots. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dux connects with a nice short shot to Cezo's temple. Dux in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Cezo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Dux!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dennis Dux!
